Are you passionate about writing, but don't have the direction that you need? Do you struggle to stick to a writing schedule? Do you procrastinate by checking email or scrolling through Facebook?
Creativity flows smoother in a distinct container. Carve out time for your craft.
Join a small group of bloggers for a writing date once a month. We'll talk about writer's block, ways to overcome procrastination, and strategies for getting your writing out into the world. Mostly though, we'll write.
This four hour workshop will begin with a moment to introduce yourself and your work. This is an opportunity for you to state what you would like to get done and get the support and accountability from our small community. I will then introduce a strategy for productivity, focus, or creativity, and we'll get down to writing.
You will be surprised by how much more you can get done in a distinct amount of time by working in proximity other bloggers. You'll get immediate feedback on your ideas and have the opportunity to mastermind strategic tactics. Writing and blogging can be a solitary practice and it's just more fun to be near one each other.
Join me once a month on Thursdays. I look forward to seeing you next time, please invite your blogger friends. Carve out the time dedicated to writing, and benefit from the support of other writers.
We'll start with a check-in and I'll lead a few exercises around moving past writer's block. Then we'll break out for an hour or two—there's a lot of great places to work in the library—and reconvene for lunch and to check our progress and share frustrations and successes.
Please come on time, and let me know if you absolutely must be late. See you soon!
Bring your notebook, the project you're working on, and whatever you need to get into the flow!
Seeds Cafe has great local coffee, pastries and lunch, but you can also bring your lunch.
(If you want to come and write poetry or work on your novel, that's awesome too.)
